For the past several years, I have started taking weekend girls' trips to the US of A. We've been to the Big Apple twice and were recently in Beantown.
Now everyone knows that the theatre, shopping, food and the bustle of New York is amazing. There is tonnes to see, do, buy and eat. It's almost overwhelming at first. Everything just seems so big and in your face.
Boston has a different kind of charm. It's smaller yes, but it's still a big city with a lot to offer. They have their own theatre district, the shopping was great and the food was superb. Although, I don't think I want to see another bowl of New England Clam Chowda for a while. Seriously, it's everywhere and I had to taste it everywhere.
But here's where the big difference was for me - the hombres. I've only seen a small handful of good looking men in the Big Apple and they were everywhere in Beantown. And it's not just the plethora of light-eyed and dark-haired fellas either, there's all kinds of studly. Not to mention that the accent doesn't hurt either. So there, I said it. I think the Boston homies are dope.
So unless there's something going on in NYC that I can't get in Boston, I'll be seeing Boston again. But next time, I'm leaving my mom at home ;)
